Synopsis
In Shorty, a father gives his daughter a history lesson of the greatest small NBA players in the history of the league to illustrate that height isn’t all you need. Starring a real-life father and daughter team, Shorty is a film that speaks to the dreamer in all of us.

Romeo Candido
Romeo Candido is a proud Filipino-Canadian storyteller for film, television, advertising, theatre, and beyond. His horror film Ang Pamana:The Inheritance screened across the Philippines and won Best Feature at the Winnipeg International Film Festival. His award-winning transmedia project, Prison Dancer: The Musical, is being developed as a full-blown stage musical. He made his television directing debut with Canadian Screen Awards-nominated comedy Second Jen, and his Netflix debut as a writer for the sci-fi thriller Another Life.
His musical series, Top Line, is currently in production and will premiere on CBC Gem this fall. When not “content creating,” he can also be found banging gongs with his band A La Una.
